Reflections on Your Day-to-day

Inspiring Yourself in Expected Places

What’s Right with the Expected?

Last week I talked about breaking free of that day-to-day routine to find gratitude. But not everything to be grateful for lies in the unexpected. Sometimes when we reflect with gratitude we can find some beauty in the mundane of our lives.

Danielle LaPorte posted some great prompts to find gratitude in the day-to-day routines of our lives.

  • What am I taking for granted this week?
  • Who helps to keep the comforts of my life coming to me?
  • What systems are helping my life to run right now?
  • Three mundane things that I do almost daily that I’m grateful for.
  • Five utilitarian things I use in my life, why I’m grateful for them, and some of the factors and circumstances that help bring those into my life.

Thanks to these prompts, this week I am going to share one thing I am grateful for each day that is in the normal mundane day-to-day routine category. When we can find gratitude in that place it really unlocks possibilities. Because those day-to-day things are always there. But also this type of gratitude can inspire action, give us ideas for things we can do differently or inspire us to embrace what is.

Answer the prompts and then explore what you are ready to embrace or do differently in your day-to-day life.
