Hello, Nice to Meet You, I Am Grateful

It’s so easy to talk about what’s got me down but there it is, in abundance, so much to be grateful for.

Introduce Yourself With Your Gratitude

Today, go over to Our Gratitude and introduce yourself to the group. Instead of a standard introduction introduce yourself through gratitude. Who are you in the world and what are you grateful for about that? What are you grateful to do for work? Tell us about your loved ones that you are grateful for. What are you grateful for about where you live?

When we meet people it can be so easy to recite the same thing we say every time we meet someone new. We may even be tempted to complain, talking about being too busy or listing the things we dislike about our work or our struggles. Our struggles are real. But we don’t need to put them on a pedastal. We don’t need to define ourselves by them. There will always be struggles and there will always be celebrations but the more we appreciate and showcase the wins the more wins we will experience. Even if that win is as small as that satisfying feeling of a warm shower first thing in the morning.

If you can introduce yourself any way you want (and you can) why not share what you are grateful for. Why not use that as an opportunity to feel grateful and communicate that gratitude? Why not connect with someone by sharing what is true for you?

So start with us, log in and introduce yourself through gratitude. But then carry it forward. The next time you meet someone tell them about yourself through the lens of gratitude and watch your connection grow.

quoteYou simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.
~Sarah Ban Breathnach

Who are you in the world and what are you grateful for about that?

FORGOTTEN GRATITUDE: Last week I was also grateful for our woodpecker once again, I just instantly smile when I hear him at work … Sleeping in … Working on singing harmonies together.

My gratitude journey started in May 2011 and continues to this day. Thank you for being a part of it! A daily gratitude practice is simple. Write down three things you are grateful for each day.
